As of today, it doesn't have to be. The Widget Builder now has a built-in AI assistant, sitting right next to the editor and the preview.
Shorting an easy-to-borrow stock is simple: place the sell order. Shorting a hard-to-borrow one has always been the opposite: opaque availability, surprise fees, and rejected orders. LamaTrader now handles the whole locate workflow in the platform, so shorting hard-to-borrow names is a clear, guided process instead of a guessing game.
You placed a limit order, and now you are refreshing the orders page to see if it filled. That routine ends today. LamaTrader now delivers order updates in real time: every fill, cancellation, and rejection reaches your screen the moment it happens.
If you trade more than one account, you know the routine: log out, log back in, lose your place, repeat. Linked accounts put an end to it. Connect multiple Alpaca brokerage accounts and switch between them in a single LamaTrader session.
